Qasim Malik
Electronics engineer from UET Peshawar’s Abbottabad Campus. I build the payment plugins behind Fena, publish my own Shopify apps, and teach the same stack on TechnoSpike.

The short version.
Hardware first, then Android, then the payment systems merchants actually install.
I studied electronics engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, Abbottabad Campus. The final-year project was a car whose key functions — lock, lights, and the rest of the remote — could be driven from an Android phone through Arduino.
After that I worked as an Android developer at Giga Developers. In 2020 I joined Fena and became the person who puts Open Banking into other people’s checkouts: plugins, backends, and the front ends merchants configure.
Alongside that job I publish Shopify apps, build full products of my own, and record the courses on TechnoSpike.

How the work lined up.

Electronics engineering, Abbottabad Campus
Final-year project: an Android app talking to Arduino so a phone can control a car’s key functions. The build is on the IoT playlist.

Android developer, Giga Developers
Shipped mobile apps before moving into payments. That Android work is what the car project and the later dashboards both sit on.

Plugin and backend developer, Fena
Fena lets a customer pay from their bank account into the merchant’s account in seconds, without card fees. I build the plugins and the backend that make that checkout real on Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Wix, PrestaShop, OpenCart, and GoHighLevel.

Own products and TechnoSpike
Free Shipping Bar Pro and Product Labels are live Shopify apps. GPS tracking, a school system, a trading desk, and Smart Guard Patrolling System are the longer builds. The channel is where I teach the same subjects.

Projects.
Each layout below is the interface of that product: the map, the school desk, the trading board, the storefront badges, the shipping bar.
Phone-controlled car
The Abbottabad Campus project. An Android app sends commands to an Arduino on the car, so the functions that normally live on a key fob can be triggered from the phone.
- Android client for the driver
- Arduino on the vehicle handling lock, lights, and the other key actions
- Documented on the TechnoSpike IoT playlist
Key functions
Tap a key. The phone sends that command to the Arduino.
GPS tracking platform
A full-stack tracker for phones and hardware GPS units. Devices authenticate with a bearer token, post latitude and longitude, and show up on a live map that refreshes every ten seconds.
- Mobile apps and dedicated GPS hardware on the same map
- Full location history, ready for route playback
- Online if the device was seen in the last two minutes, otherwise offline
- Service layer in front of Prisma so routes never talk to the database directly
School management
A multi-school system with a super admin, a school admin, and separate portals for students and parents. The admin home is a working desk: headcount, attendance for the month, and fee aging.
- Students, staff, branches, sessions, classes, and subjects
- Attendance for students and teachers, with CSV and PDF reports
- Fee invoices, payments, and aging buckets from current through 90+ days
- Computer-based tests, results, and a detailed marks certificate
- Announcements, and a parent view of attendance, fees, and results
CryptoFlow
The front end of a trading bot. A protected dashboard shows whether the bot is running, the balance, the current signal, an AI sentiment score, and the open trades with profit and loss.
- Candles, sentiment over time, and balance history
- Settings for Binance, Twitter, and xAI keys, plus leverage, grid spacing, stop loss, and take profit
- Account page with password change and a dark or light theme
Product Labels
Merchants put up to three badges on a product. Each badge is one of three shapes — pill, ribbon, or outline — with its own colors, size from small to huge, and a horizontal or vertical stack. Custom CSS is allowed when the presets are not enough.
- Labels stored as product metafields and rendered through an app proxy
- Shop-level design settings for color, size, layout, and CSS
- Embedded admin with billing, built on the Shopify React Router app stack
Free Shipping Bar Pro
A theme app extension, not a snippet pasted into the theme. The merchant sets a threshold and three messages — before the goal, close to it, and once free shipping is unlocked — plus the bar and text colors. The amount placeholder fills in the gap left in the cart.
- Announcement-bar embed on every page, including vintage themes
- Header app block for Online Store 2.0 themes
- Settings synced to a shop metafield the storefront can read
- Pro plan at £2.99 a month or £29.90 a year
Smart Guard Patrolling System
An operations portal for Reliance Security. The web app holds the patrol work; the admin portal covers backups, mail, and the image bank. Both sit on ASP.NET with Entity Framework and SQL Server.
- Web app and a separate admin portal
- SQL Server as the system of record
- Backup path, SMTP, and image storage configured for the live deployment
Fena, across the checkouts.
Fena is pay-by-bank: the customer approves in their own banking app and the money lands in the merchant’s account. I build the plugins and the services behind that button.
Official payment method, PayFlow customizer, Remix app, B2B login, and theme extensions.
Marketplace plugin, including the card-payment fix path and the current release.
Fenalabs Payments module. Enable, upgrade, flush. EU bank list kept current.
Single-click Remix app. Checkout script injects Pay by Bank and talks to Fena directly.
Dashboard app plus a Prisma and Postgres API for merchant settings and order webhooks.
Payment controller, webhook, and the return page. Works on PrestaShop 8 and 9. Public repos: prestashop-plugin and Prestashop-Notification.
Separate builds for OpenCart 3 and 4, plus the EU bank update.
Fena webhooks create a pending order, then flip it to paid in HighLevel.
Public code on GitHub also includes shopify-app-proxy and simple-payment-customizer.
TechnoSpike, on camera.
Courses, unboxings, vlogs, and the IoT project that started the engineering work. Every video, the channel, and the shorts.
